Annapurna Base Camp Trek starts with an exciting drive to scenic and popular touristic destination at Pokhara, a beautiful valley blessed with natural surroundings of high hills and mountains with serene Phewa and Begnas Lakes. Our adventure then heads towards mid hills Ghorepani Poon Hill, exploring traditional farm villages of Gurung tribe of people with Buddhist culture and custom and then heading into lovely forest and gorge of Modi River to reach a wide plateau around Annapurna Sanctuary and base camp.
At Annapurna base camp marvel the spectacular views from the highest spot of the trek at 4,130 m overlooking Annapurna I great bulk at 8,091 m high with series of satellite peaks A II – A III – A IV, Gangapurna- Annapurna South, Huin Chuli, Tent and Fluted Peak includes climbed virgin Machhapuchare ‘Fish Tail peak’.
Our return walk leads downhill back into the forested area and beyond towards warmer areas to reach Pokhara where this fantastic Annapurna Base Camp Trek concludes, after an overwhelming and enjoyable time in the hills and valleys of massive Annapurna Himal.
Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour and trek preparations.
Day 03: Drive or fly to Pokhara 820m (30 mins flight and 6 hrs drive)
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul 1,100m and trek to Ghandruk village 1,760m.
Day 05: Trek to Chomrong 1,950m – 06 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Dovan 2,130m via Bamboo 2,050m – 06 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720m – 06 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,095 m – 04 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Bamboo – 06 hrs.
Day 10: Trek to Jhinudanda with hot spring 1,700m – 05 hours.
Day 11: Trek to Potana 1,900 m – 05 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Kande 1,460m and drive to Pokhara.
Day 13: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu afternoon free at leisure.
Day 14: International departure homeward bound.
