ABOUT AIRCRAFT:
In Nepal there are more than 5 Helicopter companies all related for tourism travel and emergency airlift, at present there are two types of helicopters currently operating in private sector:

AS 350 B series helicopters manufactured by Euro copter in France and are very popular all over the world, it is regarded as one of the most multipurpose helicopters and is suitable for mountain flying and all types of helicopter missions. Following are its features:

  • 5 seats excluding Pilot
  • Suitable for all types of helicopter missions
  • Can fly up to an altitude of 5,600m or 16,000 ft.

Other helicopter is the powerful Russian made MI-17. This is a big bird, capable of transporting 22 passengers or four tons of cargo. MI-17’s can reach altitudes well in excess of 5000 m and have been known to land at Everest Base Camp. They offer excellent utility and reliability under extreme conditions. These helicopters are usually charter for bigger groups or large cargo.

Details Itinerary

Everest Heli tour starts from Kathmandu, first you are picked-up from your hotel and transfer to domestic airport in Kathmandu, flying east from Kathmandu towards the beautiful Himalaya and the gateway to Everest, Lukla. The flight starts flying towards Everest Base Camp/Kalapathar after fueling in Likla. The flight goes over the Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep and over the Khumbu glacier to reach the Base camp of Mount Everest.

It gives you some of the best mountain views and sceneries. And on the way back, you will have 25 minutes at Syangboche (Hotel Everest view) for Breakfast. Syangboche has excellent views of Mt. Everest and its range. Further, you will fly back to Lukla for fueling again and then to Kathmandu to end your lifetime Experience of Everest tour by helicopter.
