Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu from respective international flight.
On arrival in Kathmandu received by Nepal Holiday Organizer staff and guide for short drive to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, where you will join with other members of Three Cities Tour of Kathmandu valley, our guide or group leader will brief with information regarding tour - hotels-culture with do’s and don’ts, includes welcome dinner in a nice and typical Nepali restaurant with culture programs.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest.
Morning after breakfast our tour guide will receive you for sightseeing tour around interesting part of Kathmandu, as Kathmandu city a blend of modernization and old lively cultures where you can witness medieval period villages and way of life of the locals as it was for past hundreds of years. Kathmandu valley steeped with ancient history-old traditions full of world heritage sites of Buddhism and Hinduism temples / monasteries.
Morning tour leads to Pashupatinath a holy Hindu Temple with golden tier pagoda roofs with four silver sided doors, the temple is busy every day with pilgrims and disciple from all over Nepal and India, main event is in mid February “Shiva Ratri” birth anniversary of lord Shiva.
From here a short drive to Little Tibet at Bouddhanath, declared as the largest Buddhist shrine of South Asia. The ancient colossal chortens built in the 6th century A.D. by King Man Deb. With series of three terraces and from the bird's eye view it takes the relevant shape or of a lotus flower which indeed remains a very holy object for all the devout Buddhists of the world.
Afternoon tour of Morning after breakfast tour continues leading at old Syambhunath Stupa located western part of the city standing on top of a hillock surrounded by pristine forest with many monkeys, as this place is also known as Monkey Temple, Syambhunath Stupa with more than 2,500 years of history a Buddhist monument with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions forming as landmark of Kathmandu city.
From here great views of Kathmandu city with green hills and snow capped mountains towards north. From here after a pleasant and interesting time our day tour ends with a visit of Kathmandu at Durbar square where the original old palace is located with other old temples including the house of young Kumari “The Living Goddess” and interesting local bazaar.
Day 03: Mountain flight and drive to Nagarkot.
Early morning by the break of dawn our staff will transfer you to domestic airport for an amazing panoramic mountain flight towards Everest region, during this one hour flight you can marvel array of snow clad peaks in the comfort of glass window seating, from takeoff where you can marvel awesome scenery of mountains from Ganesh, Langtang, Jugal Himal range extending to Mt. Gaurishankar, Melung Tse to world highest Mt. Everest and Lhotse, including aerials views of rolling green hill and landscapes dotted with villages.
On reaching Kathmandu domestic airport transfer back to hotel for refreshment, afternoon an hour scenic drive to the hill top at Nagarkot located 30 k.m. North East of Kathmandu on the valley rim, Nagarkot is the favorite weekend gateway for Himalayan scenery and rural tranquility. Nagarkot offers panorama of mountains that extends all the way from Dhaulagiri in the west, Ganesh, Langtang and Jugal Himal in the centre and extending towards East Mt. Everest range. The surrounding countryside of Nagarkot is great for short hike, situated at 2,175 m with awesome views of sunset and sunrise.
On reaching at Nagarkot check into a nice hotel or resort with great comfort and striking views of mountains with sunset views.
Day 04: Drive to Kathmandu with visit of Changunarayan and Bhaktapur.
Catching an early morning views of striking sunrise over array of snow clad mountains, after breakfast depart from the hotel in Nagarkot for a short drive down hill on the winding road to reach at a small medieval type village of Changu, located in a peaceful environment with old traditional Newar houses, here a short walk up the steps to Changunararyan Temple premises.
Once inside the temple compound enjoy the serene surrounding with marvelous artwork of Changunararyan Temple, one of Nepal’s oldest monument This temple listed in the World Heritage Site, a fifth century old standing over a hillock 15 km. east of Bhaktapur the temple adorned with full of artistic works on metal and wood. Inscription dating back to 464 AD found here are the first epigraphic evidences of Nepalese history, after beautiful temple visit, then heading back with a drive to Kathmandu with a tour of Bhaktapur Durbar Square with full of arts and culture.
There are many monuments of historical significant places to see over here are five storey Temple Nytapola, 55 Windows Palace, Golden Gate, Lion Gate and many more. After a grand interesting time here drive back to Kathmandu with rest of the afternoon free at leisure.
Day 05: Sightseeing Tour around Patan / Lalitpur.
Morning after breakfast a short drive to adjoining Patan / Lalitpur known as the city of arts and crafts, here visit places of interest with ancient historical background, Patan city also known as Lalitpur situated south of Kathmandu separated by a bridge over the River Bagmati. Tour of old palace courtyard (Durbar) fascinating tall terracotta house with intricate window carvings, and stone temple of Krishna with a pillar of Garuda the vehicle of Lord Vishnu and as well of Lord Krishna.
After a wonderful tour of Patan, a short drive back to respective hotel with rest of the evening free for individual activities
Day 06: International departure for home ward bound.
Last day in amazing Nepal, a country of Himalayan wonders, as per your international flight time depart from the hotel where our staff transfer you to airport, after an interesting and enjoyable time on Mountains & Temples Tour with grand services of Nepal Holiday Organizer.
