Like any countries in this planet earth, foreign people who wish to visit Nepal require valid documents and passports or other authorized Identity Cards.
Foreign tourist and visitors to reach Nepal shall be granted the tourist visa.
All legal documented person shall be granted visa for a period of maximum 150 days in a visa year (Visa years means January to December).
A tourist who has departed before the expiry of the period specified in the visa issued in a visa year shall not be allowed to use the visa by adding the remaining period to another visa year.
If travelers who has entered Nepal towards at the end of a visa year desires to spend even more period may stay in Nepal with a tourist visa, he / she may use such facility.
Provided, however, that the computation of the fees for such period shall be made on the basis of the total period of the stay.
Nepal Visa can be applied for several reasons like travel-student- volunteer-working-business trip visas which can be applied from your home countries on line or at nearest Nepalese Embassies and Consulates.
Visitors can obtain visa on arrival at any legal entry immigration points like in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport-if traveling overland from India to Nepal can obtain at entry points Kakarvita / Jhapa (East Nepal) Birgunj (South Mid Nepal) Mahendranagar (Far South West Nepal).
People entering from North on overland or by air can obtain at the nearest entry points of Kodari (if traveling from Tibet / China).
Some of the third world countries of Africa or Middle East cannot get visa on arrival such as Syria, Palestine-Ghana-Somalia-Sudan-Ethiopia etc….
